
Zhuang Huiping
Assistant Dean, Associate Professor, PhD Supervisor in South China University of Technology
He received his Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2022, and has since obtained 10 research grants, including sub-projects of the National Science and Technology Innovation 2030 Major Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the CCF–Tencent Rhino Bird Fund, and the Xiaomi Fund. He was awarded the Outstanding International Student Award and served as a visiting scholar (teaching EE6430) at Nanyang Technological University in 2025. His research centers on efficient artificial intelligence, particularly efficient continual learning. He proposed Analytic Continual Learning, establishing a new branch within continual learning, which has yielded over 15 top-tier publications such as NeurIPS, ICML, and CVPR over the past two years, spanning large models and embodied intelligence. His work has received multiple honors, including a Best Paper Award nomination at international conferences, the PREMIA Best Student Paper Commendation Award in Singapore, and first place in the CVPR 2025 Competition. He has delivered invited keynote speeches at international conferences, served as Co-Chair and other positions for several international and national conferences, served as an editor for JCR Q1 special issue, and was recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer for ICML 2022.
